The first Nando’s Chicken Land restaurant launched in Rosettenville, Johannesburg in 1987. Their mission was to bring chicken bathed in the warm and flavorful Peri-Peri spice to the people. Like a kiss from the Mozambique sun, Peri Peri is the heart and soul of Nando’s spices and sauces. Nando’s sauces were eventually brought from the restaurant kitchen’s to the shelves by overwhelming popular demand, the same demand that’s beckoned Nando’s to launch outposts in over 20 countries.
